If you decide to live positively with a healthy life, accepting the laws that govern our physical organism and those that control the mind, you can enjoy physical, mental and spiritual health. You will see that you are happier, you are healthier and you will live many more years, with a better quality of life, less suffering and more money. Everyone can and should decide their destiny. What will be your decision?
We are what we eat, how we breathe and how we live a healthy life
How long would you live without being able to breathe? Maybe no more than a few minutes. We need to breathe fresh air and do it correctly. How? Fill the lungs with air by sucking through the nose. Hold the air in for a few seconds and gradually expel it through your mouth. Do it several times a day. You can also raise your arms as much as you can by taking a breath, hold for a few seconds and throw it out slowly, lowering your arms as if you wanted to touch the ground.
People who are bedridden due to some disease can also practice this way of breathing. It will allow them to oxygenate the blood, strengthen the lungs, activate the defenses and tone the nervous system.
For a healthy life, try to sleep with the window a little open since it greatly benefits your health. Do not forget from time to time to walk through a forest to breathe fresh air.
We are also what we think, read, look at and admire
The Decalogue of Mental and Spiritual Health was given to Moses, on Mount Sinai. Moses received from the Creator the two tablets of stone, written by the finger of God (Bible Deuteronomy 9:10). This Decalogue is divided into two parts. In the first Table, there are four Commandments, which explain our duty towards the Creator. In the second Table, six Commandments are written, which explain our duty towards our neighbors. It is written in the Bible, in Exodus, 20: 1-3 "God spoke all of these words, saying: I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You cannot have other gods in front of me.” What can a god be for you, or for me? Something or someone to whom you dedicate time, effort and money.
For some, the god is the food "they live to eat, instead of eating to live". Finally, they stop living a healthy life as food becomes a vice and they get sick. For others, the god is alcoholic beverages, tobacco or drugs.
All of these gods make you spend time and money, making the body sick and bringing problems into the family and society. God loves us and wants us to be healthy, that is why he tells us not to make mistakes that most people have and therefore we can lead a healthy life.
In this modern society, that most people have higher education, people do not prove to be smarter than our grandparents or those who cannot read or write. My father was the strongest man in this world, but he ate a lot of meat, sausages, drank a lot of coffee with cognac and smoked a lot. At 47 he died of a heart attack - this was 74 years ago - at that time nothing was known about the risk of these foods, drinks and also the risk of smoking. Now it has been proven how bad these types of foods and drinks are, but most people still worship these killing idols.
God, the Creator, our Heavenly Father, recommends us not only to accept his advice for our benefit but to educate our children by precept and example so that they do not fall into these traps, in which most young people fall today, including university students. The first Commandment is: "You shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These words that I am commanding you today will be on your heart, and you shall repeat them to your children, and you shall speak of them when you are in your house and walking, when you lie down and when you get up" (Bible - Old Testament, Deuteronomy 6: 5-7).
When Jesus was asked: ¨Teacher, what is the great Commandment of the Law? Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, and with all of your soul and with all of your mind." This is the first and great Commandment, and the second is similar to this one: You shall love your neighbor as yourself ¨ (New Testament Bible- Matthew 22: 36-39, Luke 10: 25-28, Leviticus 19:18, Mark 12: 30,31, Luke 10: 25-28).
¨God in his written Word (the Bible) and in his great book of Nature has revealed the Principles of Life. It is our task to know these Principles and through obedience to cooperate with God in restoring the health of the body as well as the soul. The living organism is the property of God; it belongs to him by the right conferred by Creation and Redemption. CRA 16 "Advice on the Diet" of E.G de White).
